Harvesting Process Timeline

Written Overview

  1. A signed Contributor Agreement is returned to Ohio Digital Network (ODN).
  2. A metadata check and remediation is done at a contributing institution.
  3. Collections to be harvested are identified by the contributing institution, or if needed, ODN guides a metadata remediation process.
  4. Another metadata check and remediation is done at a contributing institution.
  5. The ODN staff completes a preliminary metadata question and answer session.
  6. DPLA staff also completes a preliminary metadata question and answer session.
  7. DPLA harvests metadata from ODN.
  8. Harvested collections from Ohio are now available to use on DPLA.
